Great Yorkshire Show Report: Wednesday 13 July 2011

The Percy hounds once again showed at the Yorkshire Show. We showed in all ten open classes.
We were fourth in the open couple class with Spitfire and Gamble which was very good as we were
showing in amongst all the modern hounds.

We then came second in the Old English stallion hound class with Waffle which was very pleasing as he
is one of our best working hounds.

In the afternoon we had a second in the Old English unentered bitch class with Alaska and Poem who were
beaten by the Sir Watkin Williams-Wynn's.

We then won the Old English brood bitch section with Poppy, this was the fourth time in five years that we
have won this class.

This result enabled the Percy to win the Mary Furness Memorial Trophy that is presented to the Master of the
pack gaining the most points accumulated
in the Old English Hound Classes. This was the third time in four
years that we have won this trophy.

Our Master Mr Michael Hutchinson was presented with the trophy.

It was a very good day, I was very pleased with all our hounds and we had some very nice comments from
some senior judges.
