The classes at the Hound Show at The Great Yorkshire Show unlike the other feature shows are open to both Modern and Old Englsih Packs. Four of the classes have points awarded that go towards a separate Old English Championship. The Percy were runners up in the Old English Championship this year.

The Hound Judges in the morning were Mr Jackie Thomas MFH, Mid Glamoargan and Mr E Shirley MFH, Dorset. The Bitch Hound Judges in the afternoon were Mr Alistair Jackson, Gloucestershire and Mr H Gosling, Somerset.

 There were eighteen packs entered with fourteen packs competing on the day.

The Percy results are as follows:-
Class 1: Best Single Unentered Doghound  - Restricted Open Class - 4th - Linseed walked by Miss L Chisholm

Class 2: Best Couple of Unentered Doghounds  -  2nd in Old English section  – Linseed walked by Miss L Chisholm and  Lionheart walked by Master J Vickers

Class 4: Best Two Coupe of Entered Doghounds – Open Class – 4th - Porrick walked by Mrs L Walker, Porter walked by Miss L Chisholm, Albin walked by The Morris Family and Aragon walked by Miss L Brown

Class 8: Best Couple of Entered Bitch Hounds – Open Class – 4th – Alibi walked by the Truscott Family and Allagra walked by the Morris Family.

Class 9: Best Two Couple of Entered Bitch Hounds – Open Class – 3rd – Allagra walked by the Morris Family, Alibi walked by the Truscott Family, Landlady walked by Miss L Chisholm and Polka walked by the Morris Family

Class 10: Best Brood Bitch – 2nd in Old English section  –  Pocket walked by Miss L Chisholm

All in all a good day.
