The Great Yorkshire Show was held on Wednesday 09 July at Harrogate, here we show alongside the modern foxhounds with only a couple of class sections for Old English Hounds.

In the morning we were very pleased to be placed third in the modern Entered Two Couple Dog Hound Class with Clinker and Cleveland, both walked by our Hunt Secretary Mrs Emma Howie  Alnwick, walked by one of our long standing walkers Mrs Betty Robson and Gamble walked by Miss Jenny Copley. 

We then won the Old English section of the Stallion Hound Class with Alnwick.

In the afternoon we came fourth in the Modern Two Couple of Bitches Class with Claret, walked by Mr Billy Crole, Lightening walked by my parents, Litmus walked by Mrs Annette Grey and Lilac walked by Mrs Lynn Walker.

We then won the Old English section of the Brood Bitch Class with Poet walked by Mrs Annette Grey and came second with Alaska walked by our amateur whip Mr Allan Morris. Poet is the lighter bitch in the picture below.

This result giving the Percy sufficient points to take the Old English Championship with the cup being presented to Lady Victoria.
