The Percy hounds showed at the Yorkshire show on Wednesday 10 July, we showed in all of the dog hound classes in the morning and all but one of the bitch hound classes in the afternoon.

We had a good start to the morning winning the Old English Unentered Doghound Couple Class with Allbury, walked by Miss Becca Connor and Alpine, walked by Mr Davey Willey. We then had a good 4th in the overall Couple Class with Gamble, walked by Miss Jenny Copley and Alnwick, walked by Mrs Betty Robson and we also had a pleasing 4th overall in the Two Couple Class with Archer, walked by Mr Davey Willey, Clinker walked by Mrs Emma Howie, Gamble and Alnwick. In doing this we beat the Heythrop. We then had a second in the Old English Stallion Hound Class with Alnwick to conclude the dog hound classes.

In the afternoon we were second with our brood bitch Alaska, walked by the Morris Family, being beaten by the Wynnstay who went on to win the Old English Championship beating us by just one point so we ended up as Reserve.

Unfortunately after the Yorkshire Show the Cotswold hounds started coughing. Even though our hounds are not coughing because of the six week rule we are unable to show at the Festival of Hunting at Peterborough and the Scottish Hound Show which is very disappointing. The Scottish Hound Show has since been cancelled for this year.
